New Date Formats
With AlayaCare's client base growing internationally, new date formats have been added to the system. To configure your preferred date format, simply go to the System Settings>Locale menu. The supported date formats are:
This date format has been first implemented in our scheduling module. Date format support for other modules will come later.
Country-State Auto-Complete Address
Another feature we've added to supplement our international base is to automatically update states and provinces depending on the country selected for an address. For example, a user completing a Canadian address will see a dropdown with Canadian provinces, but if they change the country to "Australia," the provinces are updated:
Service Instructions Warning
A new type of alert has been introduced into the system. This new warning can be turn on or off on a tenant basis, via the System Configuration, in the Scheduling section.
When enabled, moving visits or recurrences containing Service Instructions will trigger a visual warning showing the detailed Service Instructions. This includes changing the date, time or duration. This feature is to warn users of specific details they should consider before moving a visit or recurrence. A good example would be visits that require 2-person assist or husband & wife visits, where one employee shouldn't be moved without the other.
Remember to activate this feature following the release if you are interested.
Pre-filter employee finder by client groups
In all our employee finder, the results will be pre-filtered based on all the groups defined for the client you are using the finder for.
New Date Picker
The date picker has a new look. Time sliders are now a thing of the past.
Flexible Bill Rates based on Time Specific Rules
When creating or editing a Bill code, you can now specify Time Specific Rates if a visits needs to be billed differently depending of the visit day and time, or if the visit happens on a holiday. The system will apply the right rate when generating an invoice for the visits matching these rules.

Client Billing Premiums
Client Billing Premiums allow for a client to be charged a flat rate for fees incurred outside of their homecare service. Users have the option of adding a recurring frequency to these premiums so that the client is charged on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

A Funding Methodology dropdown has been added to the Service dialogue. By default, the dropdown is set at Single Source. This is to bill for a single funder. To bill more than one funder for a service, select the option Split. The user must then select funders and a single bill code to determine the bill rate for any invoices of the service, regardless of funder.

Time/Date Range Premium Rule
There is a new premium rule called Time/Date Range in Accounting>Global Settings>Premiums.
This rule allows the user to select specific days of the week and/or all holidays, as well as intervals of time, for applying a premium.
This is notably useful for:
- evening shifts
- weekend shifts
- overnight shifts

Editing Employee Roles & Permissions
Improvement to ACL functionality where the "Edit Employee Roles & Permissions" ACL, if enabled, will show the user an employee's "Demographics" page.
- Note: This ACL, under the "Employment" folder, must be enabled along with "View and edit roles and permissions" in the "Security" folder. These ACLs are only for Admin Portal roles.
Services with special characters
- Improvement to how service names with special characters are displayed when creating or saving a Daily Activity.
- Improvement when refreshing the client overview so that the "Risks" tab is also refreshed and displayed correctly.
