The premium rule Time/Date Range allows the user to select specific days of the week and/or all holidays, as well as intervals of time, for applying a premium.
See Accounting>Global Settings>Premiums and add or edit a premium. To use the premium rule, select it from the Rule dropdown.
The settings for the Time/Date Range premium rule are:
Day of the week
Choose one or many. If no day of the week is selected, the rule applies to all days.
Check here for the premium to apply to holidays.
Select the time at which the premium begins to apply. If you do not enter a time, the start time defaults to 00:00.
Include Start Time
Check here if the visit must begin at or after this time to earn the premium.
Example: If the premium rule has a Start Time: 6am and Include Start Time checked, a visit starting at 6am or after is eligible for the premium.
Select the time at which the premium stops applying. If you do not enter a time, the end time defaults to 24:00. With the Start Time default, this means the premium applies all day.
Include End Time
Check here if the visit must end at or before this time to earn the premium.
Example: If the premium rule has a End Time: 8pm and Include End Time checked, a visit ending at 8pm or before is eligible for the premium.
Cover Entire Visit
Check here if the premium will be applied to the entire Visit regardless of start time and/or end time.
Example: If the premium rule has a Start Time: 6am and End Time: 8pm and Include End Time and Include Start Time are unchecked, a visit beginning at 5am and ending at 11am is eligible for the premium over its entire duration, that is, 6 hours.
Eligible Service codes. If left empty, the premium rule will apply to all service codes.
Using the premium
When a premium with this rule is added in Accounting>Payroll>(Payroll Period)>Check Pay Settings, any eligible visits will receive the premium.
