Feature Overview: CHRIS/HPG

CHRIS/HPG is a feature only available in Ontario, Canada, and is specific to the billing process. Tenants will need to request this feature from AlayaCare’s customer success team, who will work closely with you and HCCSS to complete integration. Testing will be conducted in UAT before going live in production.

What is the feature about?

The Health Partner Gateway ("HPG") provides a single electronic solution to securely exchange health information between Ontario's home healthcare agencies and their partners. HPG is built to interoperate with longer term, province-wide health initiatives, and to enable partner access to health information held within tools and applications such as the Client Health and Related Information System (CHRIS).

What are the benefits?

CHRIS/HPG billing users can enjoy:

• Optimized workflow that aligns with the core billing vision
• The ability to generate, send, reconcile, resubmit, and export
• The ability to perform bulk actions on all tasks, saving time on repetitive tasks
• Huge performance improvement over LHIN Billing (alternatively referred to as "Billing V1")
• Improved error management, exportable grids, and more

Other ongoing improvements and upcoming features include:

• Reconciliation tab
• Moving invoice page out of billing periods
• Invoice line history
• Improved filtering when revising, where users can choose a status when revising an invoice
• Ability to add a debit note adjustment
• Filtering for an RA file number

Transitioning into CHRIS/HPG

As AlayaCare continues to upgrade and improve our entire Billing offering, all current HCCSS (formerly LHIN) billing users are asked to upgrade to CHRIS/HPG billing by June 30, 2024. The integration between AlayaCare and HPG remains unchanged, so your agency will still be able to create invoices, send them to HPG, receive reconciliation, make invoice adjustments, and send resubmissions directly from AlayaCare to HPG.
