When you begin a visit, you will need to clock in to indicate that you have arrived and the visit is in progress. Your time of clocking in refers to the start of your visit.
From the Schedule Screen
Upon sign in, you will land on the screen where you can see your schedule. To begin clocking in, tap the appropriate visit in your Schedule screen. Scroll right to see your past schedule or scroll left to see your future schedule.
To begin, tap the Visit in your Schedule.

Each colour indicates a different status:
- Blue: completed visit
- Grey: cancelled or visit on hold
- Red: unavailable
- Blue Outline: to be completed
- Green: clocked into a visit
Once you are within a visit, you will have the option to clock in. To clock in, tap:
- The green button located at the bottom on the Visit Hub
- The clock icon or banner displayed in the header of any screen
Once you have successfully clocked out, the clock icon within the header will turn green.
Clocking into a visit after clocking out
Sometimes, care workers may need clock in again to a visit they have just clocked out:
When they clock in again to a visit, they will receive a full screen reminder as shown below.
Notification messages on mobile
- Clock In/Out Late/Early Warnings (if Enabled, the Threshold, Visit Note and Facility Options Will Be Applicable)
- Visit Note For Clock In/Out Late/Early
- Facility Visit Clock In/Out Warnings
- Default Comment For Service Tasks Not Completed On Clock-Out
Users in admin portal roles can set these up for their organization by going to Settings > All Settings > Mobile Settings on AlayaCare Cloud web.
Please review your use of these reminders and notifications, and to set them up based on your organization's needs. Note that these settings are not enabled by default, or their values can be edited based on your organization's needs.
