The status of a Client's Services can be updated independently of each other and the Client's overall status, according to the needs of your organization.
View a Service's Current, and Upcoming Statuses
1. The current statuses of a Client's Services can be seen from the Services tab on the Client's profile.
2. Click the name of a Service to view more details.
3. In the resulting Service page, the current status and any future statuses will appear at the top.
4. Hover over a Status to see the Effective Date and the End Date where applicable.
View Service Status History
To view a Service's past Status changes, scroll to the bottom of the Service profile and click Status History.
Add/Edit a Service Status
1. From the Service profile, click on a Status
2. In the resulting dialogue, select the new Status. Depending on your choice, there may be additional fields to fill.
3. Click Save.
Active Service Status
A Service is Active as soon as it is created, even if the Service Start Date is in the future.
You can change a Service to Active from any other status.
You cannot select an Effective Date for an Active Service Status. The Service becomes Active immediately upon saving the status.
A Service can remain Active independently of the Client Status unless the Client Status is Discharged.
On Hold Service Status
When changing a Service Status to On Hold, you must select a Reason and optionally an End Date. Status Reasons are configured at the system level.
You can change a Service to On Hold from any other Status. You can also change a service to On Hold from On Hold for a different Status Reason.
A Service can be put On Hold as a result of a change to the Client Status to On Hold, for the same Reason and with the same Effective Date.
A Service can remain On Hold independently of the Client Status.
While a Service is On Hold, all Visits of the Service will also be placed On Hold for the same Reason.
Once the Service passes the On Hold End Date, its status will revert to Active. Consequently, any Visits scheduled pas this date will be active.
Waiting List Service Status
You can change a service to Waiting List from any other status.
You cannot select an Effective Date for a Waiting List Service Status. The Service becomes Waiting List immediately upon saving the status.
A Service can remain Waiting List independently of the Client Status.
Discharged Service Status
When a Service Status is being updated to Discharged, select a Reason and optionally an End Date. Status Reasons are configured at the System level.
You can change a service to Discharged from any other Status. You can also change a Service to Discharged from Discharged for a different Status Reason.
A service will be automatically Discharged if the Client Status is Discharged, for the same Reason and with the same Effective Date.
A Service can remain Discharged independently of the Client Status.
When a Service is Discharged, all Visits of the Service will also be deleted as of the Effective Date (as long as they are in the future).
