For all external documentation (paper or digital copies) that need to be house in the AlayaCare software, there is the ability to save the referral under the appropriate Patient Profile. For files existing in a paper format, they will need to be scanned and saved on the local drive and/or desktop, where digital versions can simply be uploaded from the current location. The following steps walk through the process of saving and uploading a file to a Patient File.
Step 1: Select Attachments from the Client Overview tab
Within the Client Profile users will find an 'Attachments' tab, where any external documentation can be uploaded and stored within. Examples may include physician order forms, pre-existing paper documentation, educational resources, etc.
In addition to uploading the file from the local drive and/or desktop, there is also the ability to 'drag and drop' the file into the correct folder, from the file's location.
When a file is successfully uploaded to the 'Attachments' tab, the file will appear - also showing when any modifications occurred, and the type of file that has been uploaded.
By clicking on the file that has been uploaded, the field will appear blue, and a menu of different options will appear at the top of the Attachment screen.
