Your location within the AlayaCare careworker app is determined by the network your device is on, which may be Wi-Fi, GPS, or mobile.
To troubleshoot any device issues you may be experiencing with location, refer to the following steps for more assistance.
Your location troubleshooting checklist:

- Is your device software up to date?
- Do you have the most updated version of the careworker app?
- Have you enabled Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your device?
- Have you disabled battery saving mode? Turning it on may impact the strength of the GPS
- If your current location is not accurate, have you tried to turn on and off the Location icon in your device? Re-activating your GPS may help re-calibrate your location accurately.

Setting location permissions
For best results while using the app, you need to make sure that location permissions are enabled.
For Android users, head to Settings > Locations. Make sure it is toggled ON. Then, check "Location services", and ensure that precision services such as "Google Location Accuracy" is toggled ON. When using AlayaCare mobile app, select allow "while using the app" for location permissions when the message pops up on your screen.
For iOS users, head to Settings > AlayaCare. Under "Location", allow location access by checking "while using the app". Make sure "Precise Location" is toggled ON.
Improving accuracy
You may also adjust Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth Scanning settings to improve accuracy.
- Wi-Fi scanning allows apps to use Wi-Fi for more accurate location detection, even when you have turned off your Wi-Fi connection.
- Bluetooth scanning allows apps to use Bluetooth for more accurate location detection, even when when you have turned off Bluetooth.
