The main purpose of blocking is to ensure that an Employee is not unintentionally assigned to a Visit with a Client or Facility that they should not be for reasons such as personal conflicts or alleged inappropriate behaviour on either side.
Blocking will set any existing scheduled Visits with the Employee to Vacant. You can block an Employee from a Client, a Client from an Employee, or an Employee from a Facility.
It is always possible to override the block and schedule Visits with the Employee when required.
Blocking/Unblocking an Employee from a Client
- Go to Client Profile>Coordination>Do Not Send and click + Add an Employee to this list.
- In the resulting dialogue, enter an Employee name. Add a Comment if necessary.
- Click Save. The Employee will now appear in the Client's Do Not Send list.
If the Employee was the Primary Employee on any of the Client's Services or Recurrences, they will be removed once blocked. If the Employee was on the Associated Employee list, they are not automatically removed, and the Client will remain in the Employee's Caseload. - To unblock the Employee, click Delete.
Blocking/Unblocking a Client from an Employee
- Go to Employee Profile>Clients>Do Not Send and click + Add a Client to this list.
- In the resulting dialogue, enter a Client name. Add a Comment if necessary.
- Click Save. The Client will now appear on the Employee's Do Not Send list.
If the Employee was the Primary Employee on any of the Client's Services or Recurrences, they will remain so, even though Visits are set to Vacant. The Client will also remain in the Employee's Caseload. - To unblock the Client, click Delete.
Blocking/Unblocking an Employee from a Facility
- Go to Facility Profile>Coordination>Do Not Send and click + Add an Employee to this list.
- In the resulting dialogue, enter an Employee name. Add a Comment if necessary.
- Click Save. The Employee will now appear in the Facility's Do Not Send list.
If the Employee was the Primary Employee on any of the Facility's Services or Recurrences, they will be removed once blocked. If the Employee was on the Associated Employee list of the Facility, they are automatically removed. - To unblock the Employee, click Delete.
