Alayacare has the following behaviour around Daylight Savings Time.
Overnight Scheduled Visits/Recurrences
If a Visit is scheduled with the option Use Service Duration checked and crosses Spring Forward/Fall Back, the End Time takes Daylight Savings into account and the Visit will seem to have an hour more/less of Quantity than its scheduled time would warrant.
In the case of Recurrences, the Visit will have a different End Time than the rest of the Recurrence.
If a Visit is scheduled with the option Use Service Duration unchecked and crosses Spring Forward/Fall Back, the Quantity takes Daylight Savings into account and the Visit will seem to have an hour more/less of Quantity than its scheduled time would warrant.
If the Visit is dragged and dropped in the calendar such that it no longer crosses Spring Forward/Fall Back, the Start and End Times remain at the same interval and the Quantity will change. This also happens if a Visit is dragged and dropped in the calendar such that now crosses Spring Forward/Fall Back.
Whether the Visit is approved in the Visit dialogue>Time Approval tab, by clicking on the Scheduled Hours in the Visit Approval list, or by Batch Action (Approve All to Scheduled), the Quantity of the Visit will be used.
Since Visits are covered according to their Quantity, Funding Block coverage is not affected by Daylight Savings.
For any scheduled Time Off/Unavailability/Availability, the Start Time and End Time will remain the same as usual through Daylight Savings. The Quantity is still calculated as the difference between Start and End Time where applicable for Payroll.
