How do I create/edit Note Types?

You can configure Note Types for Progress Notes, Client Notes, and Employee Notes in Scheduling Settings under Schedules.

Add a Note Type

  1. Navigate to Schedules > Scheduling Settings > Note Types.
                                                                   
  2. Note Types can be filtered by Category Type which are Employee; Client; and Progress

  3. Click "+ Add Note Type" to create a new note. 

  4. Add the note's name, and select a category, which are Client Note; Employee Note; or Progress Note.

  5. Click on "Save" to save your new note. 

Edit a Note Type

To edit a note type, click on "Edit" on the row. Note that if you change the name of the note type, it will update throughout the system for all existing notes of that same type. Note that the category of that existing note cannot be changed and will be greyed out.

Note Type Permissions

For every Note Type created, there will also be a pair of ACLs created to allow control of view and add permissions. These ACLs are unchecked by default, and are accessible via Settings > Roles and Permissions > Journal.
