Tasks can be created in three places in the web app:
- From the Tasks tab on the main dashboard.
- From the Tasks tab on the assigned Employee's profile.
- From the Tasks tab on the profile of Client for whom the Task was created.
To create a new Task, navigate to one of these Tasks list and click +Add Task.
In the dialogue box, select whether you wish to attach a Form to the Task by choosing Yes or No. Click Yes if you are creating a Form Attached Task and No to create a General Task.
Create a Form Attached Task
After selecting Yes to attach a Form, begin typing the Form's name in the Form field. The Form must be configured in Form Settings in order to be selected.
After selecting a Form, the Form name will automatically populate the Task Name field. If you would like to use a different Task Name, simply erase the text and enter the name you wish to use.
In the Client field, enter the name of the Client you wish to create the Task for. Note that when creating a Form Attached Task, you must choose a Client to complete the Form/Task for.
If you wish to assign the Task to an Employee, enter the Employee's name in the Assignee field. You can also choose to assign the Task to an Employee after it has been created.
Next, select a Priority for the Task (Low, Normal, Important, Urgent) and enter a Task Due Date. If you wish to include any additional information about the Task, use the Details text box.
Any fields specific to the Form you have attached will appear at the bottom of the dialogue box. Complete these fields before clicking Save to create the Task in the system.
After saving the Task, it will appear in the list of all your agency's Tasks accessible from the dashboard as well as in the list of Tasks on the profile of the Client and the Employee it was assigned to.
To complete the Form attached to the Task, click the arrow next to View on the Tasks list and select Fill Form.
Once the Form attached to the Task has been submitted, a tooltip will appear next to Task Name with the name of the Employee who submitted the Form along with the date and time of submission.
Create a General Task
After selecting No, enter a Task Name.
If you wish to assign the Task to an Employee, enter the Employee's name in the Assignee field. You can also choose to assign the Task to an Employee after it has been created or leave the Task unassigned.
If you are creating the Task for a Client, enter the Client's name in the Client field.
Next, select a Priority for the Task and enter a Task Due Date if necessary.
Use the Details text box to include any other information relevant to the Task.
Click Save to enter the Task in the system. The Task will appear under the Tasks tabs in the dashboard, the profile of the Employee it was assigned to, and the profile of the Client it was created for (if applicable).
