Care Plans that have a status of Draft, Active, or Complete can be copied to create an identical version of the Care Plan as a new Draft.  Note that copying a Care Plan will only copy the items that are still active (have not been resolved/completed) on the Care Plan

To copy a Care Plan, click View to open the Care Plan from Care Documentation>Care Plans on the Client's profile.

From the Care Plan, click the Copy button.

Complete the fields in the Copy Care Plan dialogue box. If the Care Plan you are copying is Active or Complete, you will receive the following warning: Active diagnoses, goals and interventions will be carried over into the new draft care plan

Enter the Name of the new copy of the Care Plan (by default it will be the original Care Plan Name - Copy) and select a new Start Date (and End Date if known).  If you wish to override the dates set on the Diagnoses, Goals, and Interventions in the original Care Plan with the dates entered here, select Yes.

When you have finished, click Copy. An identical version of the Care Plan with a Status of Draft will open automatically. It will also appear in your Client's list of Care Plans in Care Documentation>Care Plans
