You can now configure the AlayaCare mobile application so that care providers can log into the application on iOS or Android devices using fingerprint or face recognition depending on what biometric sign-on options are available and configured on their device. Using fingerprint or face ID to authenticate mobile users can help to simplify the login process and make it easier for care providers to log back into the app when their session expires.
Biometric authentication cannot be used when logging in via SSO. It can only be used as an alternative to logging in with an AlayaCare username and password.
Configuring Fingerprint and Face ID for Your Organization
The biometric authentication feature flag must be enabled in the web application in order for care providers to be able to set up fingerprint or face ID for the mobile application.
Setting Up Fingerprint and Face ID as a Mobile User
In order to use biometric authentication for the AlayaCare mobile app, care providers must enable touch ID or face ID in their device settings. If the user has not enabled biometric authentication on their device, they will be redirected to their device settings to enable identification by fingerprint or facial recognition before they can configure fingerprint or face ID for the AlayaCare app.
