To empower care providers to achieve better outcomes, we are excited to announce the launch of our web app redesign campaign, where AlayaCare Cloud will see a new and more accessible look starting on September 6, 2022 for our users in Canada, the United States, and Australia.
Outcome-focused, the redesigned web app will maximize user productivity while minimizing effort. The restyled on-screen elements will pave the way for optimized, more intuitive workflows, reducing the time users spend within specific app tasks. Greater visual consistency will enhance users’ ability to onboard faster in the app, while an emphasis on inclusion and accessibility considers all users, regardless of technical skills and perspectives.
During the launch phase of the web app redesign, workflows will remain unchanged. As our goal is to create a more efficient, learnable and intuitive navigation experience, improvement and enhancements will be gradually introduced. The first phase of the redesign focuses on the following:
- Speed, stability, and performance improvement
- Restyled global navigation elements and on-screen components with a consistent colour scheme across all tabs, pages, and channels that works to reduce cognitive overload
- A refreshed look, feel, and navigation experience of our software
The new colour scheme and restyled elements will lead to more significant improvements to functional areas and workflows later this year, which will offer greater accessibility to all users.
Rest assured that we will provide early notice and detailed training resources via the AlayaCare Community, in-app notifications, and instructional articles on Zendesk. As always, our team is here to support you every step of the way.

While we have simplified the design of the actual sign in, once signed in, users will notice a new colour scheme across the web app. The top bar, sidebar, page headers, and iconography have been optimized. These changes will allow us to make more substantive accessibility improvements, moving towards full compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which is a single shared standard of guidelines for global web content accessibility.
Without losing or reducing access to any information or prompts, the "Clients" tab offers a more uniformed look, as shown above.
Users will continue to see a softer colour scheme across sub-pages, like the employee's individual profile as shown above. The displayed information and actionable items accessible from the page will remain the same.
Some of the most notable changes in this phase of the web app redesign are the sizing and colour of the actionable buttons, and dropdown menus. As seen above, the new left sidebar gives room to a more spacious "Schedules" pane, while items like the selected filters, dropdown menu, and navigation arrows for users to move from previous to current schedules are now softened at the corners and in a consistent monochrome colour scheme.
Users will also see that sub-pages will see little change in alignment, level of information, and actionable items available. The main changes are visual enhancements where users will see a more compact left sidebar which offers clearer distinction between navigation and actual content, and where hierarchies of content on each screen are displayed with more visual clarity.
