We pay our caregivers a base rate, but may offer a higher rate if they go to a specific client. This may be on an ongoing schedule, or as a fill in here or there. As of right now, we are achieving this with a combination of custom pay rates, custom client specific pay codes and service codes, and overriding the pay code at the recurrence and visit level.
For example, Caregiver A is paid $20 but is offered a special rate $25 per hour if they go to client B. They also go to multiple clients so we cannot override them just at the custom pay rate level. They only go to client B as a fill in for the regular caregiver, so we cannot simply add it to a recurrence. Our only options are to try to remember to update the pay code for each time we assign them, which can be hit or miss, or to set up a custom pay code and custom service code for that specific client, which can become burdensome when trying to do this for 100+ clients with new clients coming in frequently.
What I would like to suggest would be the option to add a custom pay rate that overrides the default pay rate for a specified pay code only if the caregiver is at a shift for a specific client.
