Search bar fail with multi-word names
AnsweredBrendan from Support here.
I have a user from AAC reporting a global search issue specific to employees with two last names. When I search for their full name as it's displayed in their environment (e.g. "Andrew Dice Clay") it yields no results. If I search for their first name and the second part of their last name (e.g. "Andrew Clay") their name comes up.
Determined this is a known issue with no insight into logic or ETA for fix. Submitting this as an "idea" to hopefully get some more eyes on it.

Hi Brendan Ross, Brett Schuck and Jan Barton,
I wanted to circle back to you on this. I had a chance to speak with one of our product directors and he confirmed that it is a known issue that the Global Search needs some improvements and while this is definitely on the team's radar, due to capacity issues this is not on the roadmap for the next quarter.

Hello Brendan, thanks for sharing this here. I just wanted to weigh in from our perspective, as we have heard reports of this as well in our environment. It can cause a lot of confusion for our office staff when they search for someone by their full name, and they do not come up as a result in the global search. If they do not dig deeper by searching through the Employees list, they sometimes even report this to IT as "client/employee X is not in alayacare at all". This has come up a number of times over our time with Alayacare, but never got much attention as there was always an easy enough explanation/workaround. But the ideal solution would be a patch to resolve this and limit the confusion in the first place, thus cutting back on IT resources required to address this as well as improve user experience. Thanks again for sharing this in Ideas!
