Mandatory Forms is a feature that complements an agency's core visit completion workflow, addressing the requirement for forms at the upstream of the visit verification process. Simply put, Mandatory Forms lets agencies mandate the completion of a specific form for a specific service.

Background

Prior to this feature launch, AlayaCare Cloud ("ACC") does not have forms linked to an intervention. Frontline care workers are relied upon, in good faith, to fill out the forms required for a visit, but human errors may occur. Also, some forms have a short expiration date or are mandatory, and must be completed with the patient in order for the visit to be duly completed. In another scenario, a care worker may have accidentally clocked out of a visit without submitting the necessary forms. It costs time and effort to track which form is missing and properly complete the visit.

In sum, Mandatory Forms is a feature which allows the agency to configure forms on client services and visits, identify required interventions for frontline care givers, and eliminate compliance risks. It reduces time and effort previously spent on tracking missing forms, and helps agencies speed up the visit verification process.

For more context on daily usage, one use case is that this feature allows Forms linked to Care Plan interventions will now fall under the Forms list of Service tasks. This means the user will no longer need to search for the form(s) within Form history.
